El Valle del Corso
El valle de corso
Passion, respect and commitment to the Cane Corso
At El Valle del Corso we dedicate ourselves with love and responsibility to the breeding and preservation of the Cane breed.
Corso, a noble, loyal breed deeply connected to our values.
Our history
A project that was born from the heart
The Cane Corso came into our lives unexpectedly, but its impact was immediate and profound. From the first moment, we were struck by its temperament, its poise, and its loyalty. It made us reflect on the breed, its history, and what it represented to us.
It was then that we began to investigate its origins and current reality further, and what we discovered was alarming: a breed that was losing its essence, poorly bred and often mistreated. The situation was more serious than we imagined.
This discovery not only shocked us, but also prompted us to take action. We decided to change the course of our lives. We quit our jobs and committed to a project that went beyond conventional breeding. working for the real and responsible preservation of the Cane Corso, asegurando que cada uno de nuestros ejemplares creciera con los valores de salud, carácter y respeto que la raza merece.
The impulse was clear: We wanted to contribute something positive, something genuine, to ensure a better future for this noble breed.
🐾Our Philosophy
At El Valle del Corso (EVC), we breed with purpose, not quantity.
Each litter is born from a deep respect for the breed, the environment, and the animal's well-being. Therefore, we only have a few litters each year and encourage interested families to book in advance.
🌿 Natural and Free Environment
Free-range breeding in a natural and safe environment.
We moved to Galicia seeking precisely that: a privileged environment where nature is an essential part of our dogs' development. The environment in which they are raised directly influences their genetics, and at EVC, we consider it a fundamental pillar.
🧬Health, Science and Knowledge
Health and well-being are our top priority.
At EVC, we are constantly learning, not only about the breed, but also in key areas such as nutrition, ethology, and genetics. We firmly believe that only with in-depth knowledge can we breed responsibly, understanding the physical, emotional, and behavioral development of each puppy.
Furthermore, we consider medical evaluation to be essential.
Rigorous screening of all our dogs. We perform specific tests to detect possible hereditary diseases such as elbow and hip dysplasia, OCD (osteochondritis dissecans), among other common pathologies in the Cane Corso breed. At EVC, all our dogs undergo these examinations to ensure they meet the highest health standards before entering our breeding program. Only in this way can we ensure strong, healthy, and balanced litters, taking care of both the present and future of the breed.
🍖 Natural Nutrition (BARF)
Natural feeding from day one.
From weaning to the end of their lives, our dogs are fed a raw food diet (BARF). This diet provides them not only with a shiny coat and strong muscles, but also with a more balanced, happy, and relaxed temperament.
🔍 Rigorous Selection
Rigorous and responsible selection.
Each litter is carefully planned, evaluating both the genetics and temperament of the parents. At EVC, a puppy is not selected before 7 weeks of age. During this time, we observe each one from birth, raising them in a family environment and analyzing their individual development.
This detailed monitoring allows us to predict the puppy's future temperament with high accuracy (around 90%). We thus help each family find a companion with a balanced, sociable temperament and a suitable guarding instinct, when this is part of the selected genetics.
🧠 Character Prediction
Adaptability according to destination.
In addition to families, EVC also breeds and selects Cane Corsos for specific purposes such as livestock or professional breeding.
🤝 Socialization and Accompaniment
Socialization from the imprint.
We encourage proper socialization from the first few weeks of life. We offer families the option to continue this process until 4 or 5 months, if they wish. Otherwise, we provide detailed guidelines to facilitate a successful transition when the puppy joins its new home between 10 and 12 weeks.
⏳ Respected Development
We respect the natural times of development.
At EVC, we never deliver puppies before 10 weeks of age, as we understand that premature separation can negatively affect their cognitive and emotional development.
🐕 Raising with History and Heart
We honor the traditional.
Breeding with respect also means paying homage to the history of this noble breed. Our dogs are and always will be part of our family, even when they're already living with their own. Their well-being will always be our priority.
